BIBAs helping find the entrepreneurs of the future

The BIBAs isn’t just about the winners and finalists on the night – it’s about supporting the potential finalists of the future.

The BIBAs Foundation, managed by the Community Foundation for Lancashire, is dedicated to fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among Lancashire’s youth.

Supported by BAE Systems, a major employer with over 10,000 personnel in its military aircraft business in the county, the Foundation aims to empower the region’s young minds.

Every year, thousands are raised from the kind donations of businesses from across Lancashire and distributed following the awards ceremony in Blackpool.

Dave Holmes, Manufacturing Operations Director at BAE Systems, leads a panel responsible for reviewing applications to the Foundation. Joining him are BIBAs 2015 Lancastrian of the Year, Ian Hall, as well as representatives from the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and the Lancashire Community Foundation.
