Cuadrilla
J11098 Cuadrilla Branding - Focus Groups

Formed in the UK in 2007, Cuadrilla is a privately owned British exploration and production company focussed on discovering and recovering natural resources, primarily natural gas, from shale rock. The company is headquartered in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire.

Cuadrilla aims to be a model company for exploring and developing shale gas in the UK. We are acutely aware of the responsibilities this brings, particularly with regard to safety, environmental protection and working with local communities. Shale gas exploration and development can be carried out safely, securely and in an environmentally responsible way so that as a country we have less need to use coal to generate electricity and import less gas from overseas.

At present in the UK we import approximately half of our gas needs from overseas and by 2030 this is forecast to increase to some 80%. Renewables, whilst an important and growing share of the electricity market, cannot meet all of the UK’s short term energy needs and gas must play a role over the medium term particularly in heating UK homes and offices and fuelling UK industry.

Domestically produced natural gas from shale would increase the UK’s energy self-sufficiency, reduce the CO2 emissions associated with importing Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) and secure investment and jobs for local communities across the country. Assessing the commercial viability of shale gas production in the UK is a national imperative and at Cuadrilla we are proud to be at the forefront of that effort.

The company currently has onshore exploration licences in the North and South of the UK with covering approximately 600,000 acres.

Department for International Trade

The UK’s success is built on the hard work and ingenuity of small businesses like yours. It’s your leadership, your talent and your determination to make the most of every opportunity that creates jobs and drives growth across our country.

As the world becomes ever more globalised and digital, the potential for you to reach out to new customers and lucrative new markets beyond the UK has never been greater.

Whatever your sector, there’s a market out there for your products or services. That goes for established markets, like the European Union (EU) and US, and high-growth markets such as Brazil, India, China, Colombia, Indonesia and others.

Right now, UK businesses are selling tea to China, wine to France and boomerangs to Australia. The world wants to buy what we’re selling. For them, brand UK is a mark of quality, innovation and excellence.

And the UK is a global leader in some of the world’s fastest-growing and/or innovative sectors: agriculture, creative industries, advanced engineering, high-value manufacturing, defence and security, education and skills, energy and infrastructure, professional services, food and drink, healthcare, ICT, life sciences and retail. The list goes on and the benefits of exporting are too good to miss.

Again and again, research shows that exporters, of all sizes, are more productive, innovative and resilient to economic downturns; achieve a stronger bottom line; boost their reputation and profile; and are more likely to stay in business.

Of course, making the move into any new market – especially when you’re dealing with a different language, culture or regulations – can feel like a leap into the unknown. But you don’t need to be an old hand at exporting to have an impact globally. Two in five of the UK’s smallest exporters – that’s companies with fewer than 10 employees – are already doing business in at least one high-growth market. To put it simply, there is no limit to what you can achieve.

We want to inspire you to make that move overseas and seize the growth it can bring so we’re working with organisations passionate about helping UK companies like yours to export and excel.

Visit www.export.great.gov.uk or email info@tradenw.org now to access live export opportunities around the world, training sessions, business seminars and other events, as well as specialist trade services and support.

The demand is out there. You could be too.

InterSys Micronics

Established in September 1989 to maintain small and medium sized company’s IT, InterSys Micronics not only solves day-to-day problems for clients – but also uses IT in a pragmatic way to help customers achieve their aspirations and grow their organisations.

Director Stephen Hart started with InterSys as a schoolboy trainee and he reflects over the past quarter of a century, “We have had an amazing journey – and being able to evolve and grow with our clients has been fantastic. The business has witnessed many changes, with both the technology we offer and the way that commerce has shifted and expanded. The most memorable and inspirational parts have involved the people we have met along the way, many of whom still remain part of our InterSys family today. What really sets us apart is that we are a ‘business that is in IT’ rather than most of our competitors who are an ‘IT company in business’ which means that we really do understand the problems and opportunities that our clients face every day.”

InterSys – making your IT work harder – not you.

Team Leyland

Team Leyland International Ltd was established in 1993 as a centre of excellence in the exporting of commercial vehicles, parts and technical support. The vision was to offer customers a ‘one-stop’ shop combining technical expertise with exceptional customer service and sourcing capabilities and to offer a complete sales and marketing package to manufacturers who potentially didn’t have the experience themselves to enter export markets. In doing so we were able to build a product portfolio which would offer our customers the products they wanted at the right price. Since 1993 that vision has been realised as the company has established a reputation second to none as a major automotive exporter to customers and dealers around the world.

The reputation of Team Leyland International for “Total Transport Solutions” is now established across the world through our dedicated overseas distribution chain. Government agencies, embassies and high commissions, international oil and mining companies, overseas contractors, aid agencies, tax free sales, together with a growing portfolio of personal customers who are all putting their trust in our experience and total commitment to customer satisfaction. As major suppliers to project co-ordinators and buyers, our fully equipped specialist body shops & workshops convert, modify and up-rate standard vehicles to meet your exacting needs and requirements. The customisation of vehicles for use in many variants such as ambulances, mobile workshops, servicing units or lighting platforms can be undertaken to your precise specifications.
