The BIBAs ceremony: what to expect and how to prepare

The BIBAs ceremony is one of the most high profile and prestigious events in the Lancashire business calendar, and it comes with a real ‘wow’ factor.

Don’t take our word for it, just ask anyone that’s attended before.

Like Derry Green, owner and CEO of Secret Garden Glamping that scooped the Start-Up Business of the Year award in 2022: “The BIBAs ceremony was literally like sitting at the Oscars! I’ve never seen an event put on in such a dramatic way. It’s something that I will never forget!”

So, what can you expect from the BIBAs ceremony, and how can you prepare for the event?

Firstly, you can expect a night of celebration, entertainment, and networking! The BIBAs ceremony is held at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom, one of the most elegant and atmospheric venues in the UK. It’s a spectacular location that will provide you with a truly unforgettable experience.

The evening will kick off with a drinks reception, providing everyone with an opportunity to network and connect with other attendees. Following this, you’ll be seated for a delicious three-course meal expertly prepared and served by Campbell & Rowley, after which the winners in our 20 categories will be announced. Then comes the entertainment, previously provided by household names that include boyband Blue, Jason Donovan, Russell Watson, Peter Andre, Tony Hadley, Heather Small, Paul Young, Westlife/Boyzone, and Lulu.

You should ensure you dress to impress for this black tie event, so make sure you get your glad rags ready in advance.

In terms of preparation, make sure you and any guests have tickets available for inspection on arrival, and get your travel arrangements and overnight accomodation in place well in advance of the event. Early booking is highly recommended, as the ceremony sells out quickly every year.

It’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with the categories and finalists, as this will provide you with a greater appreciation of the achievements being celebrated.

Finally, you should be prepared to have a great time! The BIBAs ceremony is an exciting and inspiring event, providing a unique opportunity to celebrate the success of Lancashire businesses and the contribution they make to the county.

*You didn’t really think we’d tell you who’s providing this year’s headline entertainment did you?! It’s a closely guarded secret, and we’ll be staying tight-lipped about it until the 15th September.
