Judges prepare to get down to business

Our former BIBAs winner and now judge and sponsor, Norman Tenray, has helped to prepare this year’s judges for the start of interviews next month.

The founder and chief executive of Longridge-based OBAS UK, who was our Business Person of the Year in 2009, took part in our annual training session held last week.

Due to the restrictions in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to get our judges together in person, so everything took place using videoconferencing.

Our interviews get underway next month and will continue until July 9 when the Innovative Business of the Year judges meet.

A Lancashire business leader has called for an injection of support in digital skills to harness millions of technology jobs expected to be created.
