Blackburn-based BM Longworth were the winners of last year’s Innovative Business of the Year.
And after years of scooping national and internation awards, 2024 was the year they kept it closer to home.
Winning a BIBA helped motivate their staff and recruit more employees.
Sophie Quigley, project co-ordinator, said: “This was our first time entering and we’d been recently winning national and international awards for our innovation and technology but we thought it important to be recognised locally, for team morale and to allow them to participate.
“If anything just being shortlisted made the team sit up and take notice; having a little more pride in what we do. To win overall was the cherry on the cake.
“Whilst positive PR is always a strength, the motivation for the team knowing we are winner and the narrative for recruitment as we grow will be the biggest win.”
