Focus on entering and the BIBAs Bootcamp

This year’s BIBAs competition is now open, and already the registrations are coming thick and fast. Are you ‘in it to win it’ in 2023?

There are a total of 20 categories available to enter, which means there’s a shot at glory for all businesses regardless of size or sector.

You can also apply in multiple categories, and we recommend that you do – it’s a great way to increase your chances of winning an award.

Just remember to check the entry criteria and make sure you’re entering a category that’s appropriate. For instance, there’s no point applying in the Medium Business of the Year category if you only employ two people (you’d need to apply in the Micro Business category).

The closing date of 31st March may seem a long way away, but it’ll soon be here so don’t leave it too late, get your applications in early, enter here.

When you’re developing your entry, don’t forget that it should serve as a learning opportunity for you as well. Sophie Page, digital marketing manager at Plumbs that won the Family Business of the Year Award in 2022, describes their experience of the application process: “The process of entering the BIBAs was quite time consuming, but did allow us to really reflect and feel proud about the work we had carried out and the successes achieved. It also allowed us to look forward and come together as a team across a variety of departments to discuss each other’s wins both small and large. The application process also allowed us to think about our future direction as a company and the elements of the business that truly matter moving forward.”

You’ll hear more comments like this from last year’s winners, and get even more great advice about how to write a killer application, by attending the free BIBAs Bootcamp on Tuesday 28th February at the Anderton Centre, New Road, Anderton, Chorley PR6 5HG from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
