Low carbon sitting high on Lancashire’s green energy agenda for BIBAs finalists

Shining a spotlight on the green agenda has become regular practice for Lancashire businesses.

Low carbon has become a top priority for organisations keen on reducing their carbon emissions and help the ongoing climate crisis.

And with government initiatives encouraging more companies to watch their energy consumption and invest in greener ways, more and more businesses are signing up and showing how they can be more sustainable.

Sponsoring the Low Carbon category once again this year is Fylde-based Sustainable Energy First who are the market leaders in providing a range of solutions from energy procurement risk management to solutions for net zero issues.

This years finalists from the category have already been visited by the judges for the BIBAs on Tour following the interview process and the calibre this year has been very high, according to the sponsors.

Ben Beetham, partnerships manager for Sustainable Energy First, said: “Low carbon has become an integral part of business practice within Lancashire and businesses of all shapes and sizes are implementing green initiatives in order to make their organisations more sustainable.

“We are delighted to sponsor the Low Carbon category as we are committed to sustainable business practices and helping other organisations achieve sustainability.

“Having interviewed the candidates and been out to their businesses as part of the BIBAs on Tour journey, it was interesting to see how they are adapting their companies to the needs of the green economy.

“This year has seen a higher level being reached by all the finalists and they have set the bar very high with their commitment to low carbon. As a sponsor we are very impressed by their work and look forward to seeing who triumphs on the night.”
