Judges undergo special training session

A special training session for The BIBAs’ judges will take place this week.

We will be hosting our annual training session will take place on Thursday, May 20 and give our judges some advice on how to ask the right questions to select the winners in our 19 categories.

Our judges are drawn from across Lancashire including managing directors, former winners and finalists for our categories and some of the up-and-coming stars of the county’s business community.

Bob Dunn, regional managing director of Diamond Bus North West which operates Preston Bus, is on the Family Business of the Year panel with former BIBA winner Norman Tenray judging our Small Business of the Year award.

Mike Peters, who won our lifetime achievement award, Lancastrian of the Year, in 2016, is a judge for the Business of the Year alongside Dawn Cheetham, the owner of Blackpool-based Commercial Kitchen Services and a former president of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
