What are the three main qualities you look for in any business/individual you visit as part of the BIBAs judging process?
- Vision of what the business is now and will be over next 3-5 years;
- Solid financials which stack up and show real progress over a period of years;
- Great training plans to develop staff so they can keep the best people.
Without naming names, tell us about the one business or individual you were most impressed with during the BIBAs judging process and why?
Digital firm which genuinely asked employees to contribute to the future success of the business and where it was clear staff loved coming to work.
Some of their employees travelled from Manchester every day and you would think there would be plenty of alternative employment there in this industry.
What would be the one piece of advice you would offer to any BIBAs applicant?
Back everything with hard evidence.
