F.Parkinson Ltd was the winner of the Employer of the Year category at the BIBAs 2013.
For boss Ray Eyre, there was no better way for construction firm F.Parkinson to enter its 80th year in business than winning a BIBA.
So when managing director of the Blackpool-based business strode on to stage in the resort’s iconic Tower Ballroom to collect the Employer of the Year award in 2013, he was grinning from ear to ear.
His firm has been up against 11 other top businesses from across Lancashire for the right to take the trophy which was presented to him by Lis Smith, principal and chief executive of category sponsor, Preston’s College.
Speaking after picking up the prize, the managing director said: “We feel that this award is recognition for all the hard work and achievements by all employees.
“This award will also help to strengthen our position within the marketplace and further enhance our reputation across all regions.
“This is a great way to enter the company’s 80th year.”
It was not the first time F.Parkinson had enjoyed success at the business awards which is known as ‘the one they all want to win’, having walked away with the top Business of the Year prize in 2006.
