Healthpoint was the winner of the Small Business of the Year category at the BIBAs 2013.
When healthcare business Healthpoint entered the race to be named Lancashire’s Small Business of the Year at the BIBAs 2013, it did so knowing what it was getting in to.
The Blackpool firm has previously been in the running for the prize for the previous two years, they recognised the businesses they were up against were the very best of the best in the county.
As director Bob Walling explains: “Competition for the BIBAs was very high, with entries from a large number of high quality businesses from Lancashire.”
Therefore, being announced as the winner of the 2013 prize by category sponsor Norman Tenray, of OBAS UK, capped a memorable night for the Healthpoint team.
Bob added: “The evening itself was very special for the whole team, the hard work, skills and motivation shown throughout the year was recognised, and this has been a fantastic motivating factor since the award ceremony.
“Along with increased staff pride, the award provides a third party recognition for our customers and business partners, and has offered great publicity.
“Having been finalists the previous two years in the small business category without winning the coveted prize, we now understand the great opportunity and respect the awards generate when you win.
“We would highly recommend any business to enter themselves for an award, it is well worth the effort and has many positive benefits for the business.”
