One of the leading figures behind global mega-brand Saatchi and Saatchi will help pick the winner for one of Lancashire’s most prestigious business awards.
Adam Armstrong, Global Transformation Programme Manager at Saatchi and Saatchi Worldwide, has been announced as the chairman of the Business of the Year judging panel at the Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs.
The agency, which has a network of 140 offices in 76 countries across the world, is the headline sponsor for this year’s awards which will be handed out at the Blackpool Tower in September.
Kevin Roberts, the Lancashire-born global chief executive of Saatchi and Saatchi, was Master of Ceremonies at the BIBAs 2014’s ceremony and has since been unveiled as its first patron.
Nearly 80 business leaders from across Lancashire have put their names forward to pick the very best of the best of the county’s business community.
Organisers of the annual Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, have confirmed 76 people have come forward to judge the 18 prizes up for grabs at this year’s awards.
Babs Murphy, chief executive of BIBAs organisers, the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, said it would once again host a training session to prepare its judges.
She said: “We expect our winners to be the very best of the best, so our judges have to be exactly the same standard.
“Working with Lancaster University Management School, we have built upon the training we provided our judges in 2014 to ensure they are equipped to provide the rigour which ensure the BIBAs remains the one they all want to win.”
The judges training will take place at LUMS on Wednesday, April 15.
