The profits of this year’s Be Inspired Business Awards, The BIBAs, will go towards supporting the next generation of Lancashire business leaders, its organisers have confirmed.
Babs Murphy, Chief Executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, said the profits would go to The BIBAs Foundation, the awards’ charitable arm which offers grants to individuals and groups supporting enterprise projects for 18-24 year olds in Lancashire.
Those people attending the awards’ ceremony on Friday night will get the opportunity to support the Foundation with donation envelopes available on every table at The Blackpool Tower.
Babs Murphy said: “Following our awards in 2018, The BIBAs put nearly £13,000 to the Foundation which allowed us to support some fantastic groups and individuals doing great work with young people all over Lancashire.
“We appreciate every penny which people give and assure them that we are committed to it all being pumped back in to doing great work in the county.”
The Foundation is sponsored by BAE Systems, one of Lancashire’s largest employers, and is managed by the Community Foundation for Lancashire, which manages a number of charitable funds.
