“This is a business which does not just say it does something, it does it.”
Those were the words of BIBAs judge Tony Raynor, managing director of Abbey Telecom, as he presented the Service Business of the Year trophy to Springhill Care at the BIBAs in 2013.
It followed a judging process that saw the Accrington-based care group overcome the leading service businesses in Lancashire to be presented with the trophy.
Speaking after the event, Springhill Care chairman Ken Nolan said: “To win this award is such a fantastic tribute to the hard work of everyone in the group.
“Our focus has always been on providing the highest quality care, and we’ve never lost sight of that.
“This award really was earned by every member of staff, and I’d like to thank them for their contribution.”
It was the first BIBA collected by Springhill Care, which went on to retain its Service Business of the Year award at last year’s ceremony when it jointly won alongside Preston Bus.
It also picked up the Excellence in Customer Service prize in 2014 and is again among the nominees for the BIBAs in 2015.
