Judges in this year’s Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, have hailed the quality of applicants they have met as judging gets underway for this year’s awards.
The panels for the first ten categories met with applicants last week and the scoring in all categories is “incredibly tight.”
A spokesman for the awards said: “Before the interviews began, the scores judges awarded each entry from their application forms meant there was very little between any business.
“That has only intensified with the leading businesses in a number of categories now divided by less than 1% of the overall mark.”
Each business which has made it through to the first round of interviews has already been awarded points for 30% of their available score having been judged on their application form.
The first round of interviews which get which concludes this week will account for a further 35% of the overall score which each applicant can receive.
