A Lancashire hotelier has praised the finalists in one of the county’s leading business awards at they prepare to enter a second round of judging.
Andrew Whitaker, who operates hotels including The Mode Hotel in Lytham, was part of the judging panel which selected eight finalists in the category at the Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs.
He described those businesses he met as “a magnificent pool of determined enthusiasm” and said he would use the spirit in his own business.
The BIBAs begins its second round of interviews, The BIBAs On Tour, next Monday, June 17 and will send its judging panels out to visit each of its finalists.
Mr Whitaker said: “It was refreshing to see so much innovation and meet so many talented entrepreneurs and placed a large burden of responsibility to judge with precision and select just one winner.
“If the competitors were sat the other side of the interviewing table they would reaffirm that the BIBAs really is the one that they all want to win in Lancashire.
“I have the utmost respect for the people that I saw and hope that they drew as much from the process as I did.”
