A leading Lancashire vegetarian restaurant, RK Dining, which specialises in authentic vegetarian Indian curries and street food, is backing the judges of one of Lancashire’s top business awards.
The Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, gets the final stage of judging for the competition, The BIBAs On Tour, underway this week.
Niraj Parekh, of RK Dining which is sponsoring The BIBAs On Tour, believes the visits to the finalists’ premises offers the finalists a unique chance to show what really makes them stand out from the competition and show why they deserve to win their categories.
He said: “There is only so much you can tell from reading an application form and meeting someone across a table for an interview, so getting out on the road and seeing businesses for themselves, where they operate and meeting their employees, is what gives The BIBAs the competitive edge.”
The Tour got underway yesterday when the judging panel for the Small Business of the Year category visited its finalists.
Today, the judges of The BIBAs Service Business of the Year will visit applicants in the running for its category. These include Freckleton-based transport group Walton’s Coach Hire, Preston animation specialist, Viddyoze, and electric contractor, FTS Merit, whose headquarters are in Blackpool.
