One of our BIBAs judges has called on Lancashire’s third sector to tell the story of how their work has supported their community.
Ryan Bradley, of Burnley FC in the Community, has signed up to be a judge in the Third Sector Business of the Year category at this year’s awards, one of a number of Lancashire business leaders who will select our winners.
He said he would be looking for the stories of what applicants’ work has done when he reviews entries which are coming in from across the county.
Ryan said: “The third sector is judged by the impact we have on people’s lives and this is what we should be judging all applications by.
“I would urge anyone completing a form for this category to tell their story as if they were talking to a complete stranger who knows nothing about the work the third sector does.
“Too often we assume people know what we do and do not explain exactly why this work is so special, so I hope that all entrants will be able to tell the story of their work.”
Ryan added that he hoped that by volunteering his time to be a BIBAs’ judge, he would expand his own knowledge of the sector and draw inspiration which can support his own organisation.
