A special training session for The BIBAs judging panels will now take place in July.
The workshop will equip judges in each of the awards’ 20 prize categories with the skills they require to get the right answers out from applicants during face-to-face interviews taking place later this year.
The BIBAs will not hold its second round of judging, The BIBAs On Tour, which sees its judges visit businesses in their premises.
A spokesman for the awards said: “We are grateful to all our judges for giving up their time to help us find our winners and we recognise they only have so much time in their days.
“It would simply not be possible for us to hold two rounds of judging and do it to our own high standards due to the delay of The BIBAs this year.”
Further details of the judges’ training session will be sent out to all judging panel members in due course.
