One of the many business leaders to sign up to select winners of The BIBAs has said she hopes the judging process will help her “stay relevant”.
Jane Cole, Managing Director of Blackpool Transport, has signed up to undertake interviews with the hundreds of applicants which have applied for the 20 prize categories on offer.
The interviews will now take place in September with the awards’ ceremony being held in December.
Jane Cole said: “I have given my time to be a BIBAs judge because I truly believe that Lancashire has a wealth of entrepreneurial, innovative and aspiring businesses that can use these awards as an opportunity to showcase their capabilities.
“I want to learn and stay relevant as a business leader and this enables me to see the latest talent and amazing initiatives that businesses in Lancashire now have to offer.”
She said she would be looking for businesses which “have customers and employees at the heart of their strategies.”
Her advice to all applicants is: “Make sure you overcome the perfectly natural nerves with the adrenaline of being in the running for such a prestigious awards.
“I would tell all applicants – do not limit your challenges but demonstrate how you challenge your limits.”
