As The BIBAs’ application deadline draws closer, we will be catching up with some of our judges to get their advice on what it takes to be a success.
We ask Adam Bromley, Partner at Forbes Solicitors, for his advice…..
Why you have decided to give your time so generously?
As a judge I knew that I’d be standing alongside some of the best business minds in Lancashire, being part of a team that will help the next generation of business makers shape our future world which I feel is a real honour. I’m very much looking forward to meeting the finalists onsite and looking at what they have to offer and how they plan to help contribute to the business world of tomorrow.
What you hope to get out of the judging process?
Fulfilment that my contribution is helping the businesses of Lancashire grow and helping the county continue its growth as one of the business hubs of the north. As a partner of Forbes Solicitors I’ll also be keen to share my experience and wealth of knowledge where possible so that local business communities continue to grow and succeed.
What will you be looking for from the entrants’ applications?
Dedication. I’m looking for a business, large or small, that is dedicated to making a difference and standing head and shoulders above their competitors. I’m also looking for entries that take in to account their immediate community and can show how their business can and will shape and effect the world that is on their doorstep.
If you had one piece of advice for our applicants, what would it be?
Make sure that you fill in the criteria to the letter, but also go above and beyond what the BIBAs ask for. If your entry shines, it’ll certainly stand out.
