A businessman who has advises firms in the utility sector said he is hoping to be able to give something back to Lancashire’s business community as a judge at The BIBAs.
Richard Chilton, Managing Director of QASR Limited, said he would like to help businesses applying for the awards to “improve and expand their companies.”
He is one of a number of Lancashire business leaders who have signed up to judge in one of the 20 prize categories on offer at this year’s BIBAs.
Mr Chilton said: “I am looking forward to meeting successful and interesting people and learning about new and expanding businesses.
“I am interested to see entrants with passion, creativity and resilience, as I see these as being the key characteristics of a successful business.
“Entrants need a wide variety of skills and I would also like to see clarity of thought, strong interpersonal skills and strong commercial acumen.”
He urged businesses completing their entry forms to be clear about both their business model and their strategy for expansion.
