A leading sponsor of one of Lancashire’s premier business awards has promised an amazing line-up of entertainment for the sell-out audience.
Jamie Griffiths, Brand Programme Director of regional radio station Smooth Radio North West, said the organisers of the Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, had big name entertainment lined up for the ceremony on September 14.
Last year, former Westlife and Boyzone stars Bryan McFadden and Keith Duffy entertained the crowds at the awards night which has previously featured the likes of opera star Russell Watson, Spandau Ballet frontman, Tony Hadley and the Overtones.
Smooth North West is the sponsor of the Leisure and Tourism Business of the Year category at this year’s awards.
Jamie added: “You can always guarantee the BIBAs to put on an amazing night and the entertainment which has been lined up for this year will not disappoint.
“It is great to be able to celebrate the achievements very best in Lancashire’s business community with the awards and then have a great night to cap it all off.
“Once again, Smooth presenter Jo Lloyd will be keeping the party going afterwards and we hope that many of the sell-out crowd will stay behind to have a party with us.”
The BIBAs will take place in front of a crowd of more than 1,000 people in the Tower Ballroom at the iconic Blackpool Tower after tickets sold out a month before the big night.
Blackpool-based catering firm Campbell and Rowley has been appointed to serve the audience and they have lined up a Lancashire-themed menu.
The menu includes an Edible Lancashire Garden for a starter, main courses including a Lancashire Cheese and Onion Pie, and a dessert called, A Little Stick of Blackpool Rock.
In 2017, the BIBAs awarded its lifetime achievement award, the Lancastrian of the Year, to Simon Rigby, the entrepreneur whose latest investments has seen him pump cash in to the Guild Hall entertainment complex in Preston city centre.
Burnley-based refrigerated vehicle specialist, CoolKit, collected the Business of the Year and Manufacturer of the Year awards, while Preston-based Sunshine Events also winning two categories, Employer of the Year and Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility.
