Every week we will bring you the thoughts of a former winner of one of our awards about why they applied, what the application process did for them and what being a BIBAs winner means to them.
Here, we hear from Stephen Turner, Managing Director of Group 55, who won the Micro-Business of the Year Award at the BIBAs 2015…
“As a business that recruits locally, manufactures locally and exports Lancastrian excellence globally, we felt that by entering the BIBAs and ultimately winning would be the perfect way to celebrate all that we have achieved in 2015.
“Before entering the process, we expected that the BIBAs would give us the opportunity to take a step back and reflect on how far our business has come over the last 12 months.
“Like many, we have been guilty of rarely taking this step back. What we did not expect to get out of the process was the enormous sense of achievement felt by every single employee.
“This itself has provided a massive boost for all at Group 55 and will help carry us to further success in 2016.”
