Places remain available for this year’s BIBAs Boot Camp event at the Fylde Coast office of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
It takes place on Friday, March 4, starting at 10am and offers a wealth of advice to those companies entering this year’s awards.
The organisers have teamed up with experts from Lancaster University Management School to offer a workshop which will see judges give applicants practical tips on how to impress judges in both applications and at the interview sessions which follow.
It will also offer advice on how to maximise involvement in the awards whether you are shortlisted, a finalist or a winner.
The session is limited to two representatives per company and anyone wishing to attend should email firstname.lastname@example.org with their names, position within the company and telephone number.
More than 70 leaders from across Lancashire’s economy have signed up to pick the winners of one of the county’s leading business awards.
The Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, has announced the panels which will select its 18 prize categories during two rounds of judging which get underway after its application deadline on April 8.
The judges include former winners of the award Jeremy Coates, chief executive at Magma Digital which collected two prizes at the BIBAs in 2014, who is one of the Best Use of IT judges, and Evans Vanodine managing director, Peter Evans.
Evans Vanodine is the current holder of the Exporter of the Year award which is the category Mr Evans will be judging.
Babs Murphy, chief executive of BIBAs organisers the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted to have so many great Lancashire business leaders among our judges.
“In the case of Peter and Jeremy, they know what it takes to win the BIBAs having been through the application and judging process themselves.
“However, it also means Evans Vanodine cannot apply to retain its Exporter of the Year title, as we do not allow companies which supporting our judging or sponsor our awards to enter.
“This would be an obvious conflict of interest and the integrity of our awards simply means too much to us.”
The judging sessions get underway from May 16 when judges meet applicants for face-to-face interviews, and this is followed by the unique BIBAs on Tour judging from June 20.
