The BIBAs bend is back! The photo trend which swept social media throughout Lancashire during last year’s awards judging has been re-launched by applicants for one of the county’s leading awards.
The trend has seen many people posting pictures of themselves imitating the iconic trophy for the Be Inspired Business Awards, known as The BIBAs, on networks including Twitter and Facebook.
Last week’s announcement of which firms and individuals have made the first round of interviews for the 18 categories sparked the return of the trend which started in 2014.
Babs Murphy, Chief Executive of BIBAs organisers, the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, said: “The BIBAs bend began two years ago when some of our judges tried to imitate our awards trophy at a judging session, but it was in 2015 when it really took off.
“We had applicants, finalists, judges and many other people all over Lancashire having fun trying to beat each other with a better bend – one of our judges even got the Blackpool Tower to join in with the aid of a bit of computer trickery.
“In 2016, we are looking forward to everyone involved in the BIBAs taking part in the bend again.”
To join the BIBAs bend, just post your picture on social media adding the hashtag #bibasbend.
