As one of the region’s key economic forces, the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is proud to be at the centre of the county’s thriving business community.
The University plays a key role in increasing the supply of high-level skills available to Lancashire employers and thereby increasing the productivity of the economy.
UCLan is sponsoring the Medium Business of the Year category at this year’s Be Inspired Business Awards, The BIBAs.
The UCLan business team has well established links with local, regional, national and international businesses, sharing and exchanging expertise and research to help give organisations that competitive edge.
Whether it’s supporting entrepreneurs with product launches, helping SMEs achieve growth through recruitment or enabling employers to upskill their workforce, our wide range of services can be tailored to specific needs; a combination of academic expertise, innovation and state-of-the-art facilities resulting in a package of support which is second to none.
Alison Hitchen, Head of the Centre for SME Development, said, “As a University, we are passionate about developing businesses, sharing our skills and expertise and helping them to grow and innovate, with fantastic results.
“We provide support for businesses of all sizes and all sectors and I would urge businesses in Lancashire to contact us to find out more.”
UCLan is one of more than 20 sponsors, which are supporting The BIBAs’ prize categories that recognise the achievements of the diverse range of sectors that make up Lancashire’s economy.
The BIBAs hosts its annual prize-giving ceremony in front of a sell-out audience at the Blackpool Tower on Friday, September 13.
The audience will dine on a menu produced by Lancashire chef Paul Rowley, of event caterers Campbell & Rowley, using local produce.
The awards’ organisers, the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, has asked all those attending the ceremony to get in touch with any dietary requirements by next Friday, August 30.
To get in touch, email email@example.com or telephone 01772 653000.
