What are the BIBAs?
The BIBAs is short for Be Inspired Business Awards and is Lancashire’s largest and longest running business awards ceremony, run by the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
The BIBAs are open to all and we welcome applications from all business and sectors, regardless of size and industry. The process is unlike any other awards ceremony regionally, in that BIBA candidates are judged rigorously, meaning you can be confident that, as a winner, you truly deserve it.
How do I enter?
Simply visit our Enter an award page and off you go. You will need to complete an entry form(s) and submit where it states answers to the criteria for the category you are entering. The criteria can be found on the entry form(s).
Can I enter more than one award?
Yes. You can apply for as many categories as you wish (providing you meet the set criteria for each category). In the event of multiple entries please ensure that the relevant category sections are completed in full.
Remember the judges will need documentary evidence; facts, figures and stories. Be honest, be factual and include anything you think will strengthen your application…be mindful of the 2000-word limit, per application/category.
Will entries be treated confidentially?
Absolutely! All entries and information submitted to the BIBAs are treated in the strictest of confidence. Financial information is only seen by the judging panel and confidentially disposed of immediately following the competition.
Will I only be considered for the categories I enter?
No. The judges retain the right to nominate you for additional categories that they may deem appropriate, you will of course be advised to see if you’re happy to be considered.
Is there a fee to enter the awards?
Not at all – entering the BIBAs is free of charge, always has been, always will be.
Can I attend the awards?
Of course. You can book tickets or a table by visiting here.
Does the BIBAs make a profit from ticket sales and sponsorship?
Technically yes! Here’s the BUT – profits from the BIBAs are donated to the BIBAs Foundation. Essentially the fund which the Foundation delivers grants from.
Who’s behind the BIBAs and who should I contact with any questions?
