The Foxton Centre secured a historic place in BIBAs history when they picked up a trophy at the awards in September 2014.
The charity which supports the homeless community in Preston became the first winners of The Most Inspiring Business of the Year prize, introduced to celebrate applicants whose successes did not fit in to other categories.
For this reason, it was the first award handed out in front of a packed house at The Blackpool Tower by category sponsor The Lancashire Community Foundation.
The Foxton Centre described its success at the awards as “long overdue and a sign that people are getting to know about what we achieve together.”
They added: “The award is also recognition of all our inspirational service users who have to overcome many barriers just to live normal lives.
“Being the Most Inspiring Business of the Year also means that we will be able to work with local businesses who want to support us to make an even bigger difference to even more people who need us.
“This could be really exciting.”
