Grandma Singletons cheese has been made in Longridge in Lancashire, on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, by 4 generations of the Singletons family. We say it all began in 1934, as that is when the company was formed, but if you read Grandma’s story you will see she actually started making cheese long before this.
Over the years the cheese making business has been passed down the generations. Read Alan’s story, Grandma’s grandson, who was responsible for turning the business into a national brand.
Today Grandma Singleton’s great grand-daughter, Tilly Carefoot, continues the family tradition, making cheese to the recipes Duillia used all those years ago. Read Tilly’s Story, who has led the business to become a worldwide brand and rebranded the business to honour her Great Grandmother – Grandma Singleton.
