As Lancashire’s longest-standing business awards, the BIBAs has been delivering benefits to firms and individuals across the county since 2008, and every week we will hear from a former winner about how it has helped them.
Here Alistair Clayton at double winner Aston Services Group, formerly known as Cleanall, which picked up the Service Business of the Year and Excellence in Customer Service award at the BIBAs 2015, tells us his firm’s story…
We were absolutely delighted to hear our names read out on BIBAs night, but that was just part of the recognition.
Going through the BIBAS process – each step of the ‘journey’ – was rewarding enough – but when we were announced as double winners we knew that it was not the end, but a confirmation that we were on track.
The glitz and glamour of the awards night is great and a true showcase of Lancashire business – but it is the legacy that is key.
Winning at the BIBAs in 2016 initially created a real focus both internally boosting morale and externally helping awareness and marketing.
We have benefited from association with other winners and members of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, which organises the awards.
Winning has added gravitas to our brand and the accolade does aid new business development and recruitment in equal measures.
Being externally judged is a brave, but ultimately rewarding process and the journey for us continues – from double winners to judging to Academy to now category sponsor.
