As we head towards the ceremony for the BIBAs 2016, we ask some of our finalists about their experience so far through the BIBAs Journey.

Today, we hear from Leon Calverley, Managing Director of Door4, finalists in the Creative Agency of the Year category…..
“The application process for the BIBAs gives youthe opportunity as a business owner to think laterally about the things that you’re doing, and the positives within the firm.

“As managing director firmly on the marketing/sales side, this is a key part of my role, but the process initiated a more thorough review of the last 12 months.

“My fellow director, James and I attended the first round of interviews for two separate categories we entered.
“The two interviews were markedly different, due to the people involved, so this was particularly interesting.

“Both interviews were kept to time (I’ve been a judge, so I’m familiar with the process from the other side) and felt ‘relevant’. Norman Tenray is a cool cucumber, and I’d love him to be on my own personnel interview panel.

“The Judges on Tour section was exciting for the team, and gave us an excuse to attend to our offices – I will admit that!
