As we head towards the ceremony for the BIBAs 2016, we ask some of our finalists about their experience so far through the BIBAs Journey.
Today, we hear from Steph Stephenson, of Stephenson’s Dairy, finalists in the Micro Business of the Year category….
“The BIBAs application process really made us focus on our own business plan and made us evaluate each area to really ensure that the direction was going to provide us with the growth required, whilst still staying true to our core business values.
“There were a few nerves when the judges came to visit us, but we got over them by focusing on sharing our passion for the industry, our successes to date and innovative plans for the future with the judges.
“The judges on tour was really exciting for us as it gave us the opportunity to meet the judges in person, show them what we do, how we do it and to try our delicious Free Range Milk.
“In an industry where bad news stories dominate, we have created and launched a product which directly solves a huge business issue – namely developing a sustainable business model for the dairy industry; winning Micro Business of the Year category at the BIBAs 2016 would provide a springboard for us to grow our business.”
