A waiting list is now in operation after Lancashire businesses ensured the county’s top awards ceremony sold out three months in advance.
On Friday, 11th September, firms from across the county will come together at the Blackpool Tower ballroom for the Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs), and it is sure to be a special night with 19 awards handed out and high quality entertainment from a top secret performer.
The awards, dubbed ‘the one they want to win’, saw hundreds of shortlisted entrants interviewed by a panel of judges in 18 categories, with eight finalists chosen to receive visits from the judges during the month-long ‘BIBAs on Tour’.
And now, with all the winners chosen and their identities a closely guarded secret, more than 1,000 businessmen and women will come together to find out who has won each award – plus the extra special Lancastrian of the Year Award.
Babs Murphy, chief executive of the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, which organises the awards, said: “The BIBAs is now recognised as the top awards ceremony for businesses across Lancashire and rightly so.
“No expense has been spared once more as we are putting on a night that will live long in the memory so it is great that businesses have once again got right behind us.
“Everyone knows it will be a special event and that was clear from the demand for tickets this year, which have sold out extremely quickly.”
A waiting list is now in operation for those businesses that wish to attend the ceremony but didn’t buy their tickets in time.
The event always brings a touch of glamour to the county with a red carpet reception and gala dinner ahead of the awards being announced.
The awards are followed by live entertainment which has previously seen performances from artists such as Peter Andre, Russell Watson, Tony Hadley, Heather Small and Matt Cardle.
