The difficult job of picking a winner for Lancashire’s biggest business awards has been made easier by its judges visiting its finalists, according to organisers.
Babs Murphy, chief executive of the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, said the panels for the Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, had been inspired by the visits as part of the awards’ ‘judges on tour’ interviews, sponsored by Mad Science North West.
The interviews enter their second week this week and will continue until July 2 when the panel for the prestigious Business of the Year category visit their nominees.
The chief executive added: “By sending our judges on tour for the second round of interviews is another part of what makes the BIBAs a unique awards.
“All the judges who have been out so far have said these visits are giving them a unique insight not only in to the people behind the business, but what makes their businesses different and inspiring.”
