In the build-up to the ceremony of the BIBAs 2016, we look back at some of the businesses and individuals which have stepped up to pick up the awards’ iconic trophy down the year.
Here we look back to 2014, when Chelsom collected two awards.
Businessman Robert Chelsom described said he was ‘utterly thrilled’ after seeing his firm pick up two awards at the BIBAs in 2014.
His Blackpool-based lighting firm, Chelsom, collected the Exporter of the Year and Creative Business of the Year prizes at the awards, which attracted more than 1,200 applications from across Lancashire.
It followed the success of its export division which saw it appointed in Russia and the Middle East as well as contract wins across the international hospitality and marine sectors.
Mr Chelsom said: “The two awards are a wonderful recognition for all the dedication, passion and hard work put in by the whole Chelsom team.
“There is in fact a connection between the two awards in that because we understand our interior design marketplace so well and because we continually strive to create exciting and unique products for our clients, the global marketplace appreciates Chelsom and the exports have followed.”
