In the build-up to the ceremony of the BIBAs 2016, we look back at some of the businesses and individuals which have stepped up to pick up the awards’ iconic trophy down the year.

Here we look back to 2009, when Juicy Media won the Best Use of Innovation prize….

From the humble beginnings of an incubator unit at Myerscough College in Lancashire, stepping on to one of the biggest stages in Lancashire meant a lot to Juicy Media.

In 2009, the company was among more than 900 entries to the Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs), having been shortlisted for the Best Use of Innovation prize.

It was a fitting was a fitting way for the web developers to cap a decade in business having been founded by Ian Strachan and Peter Davies in 1999, going on to become a limited company in 2005.

They collected the award at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, which recognised the innovative initiatives the company has launched that have had a positive effect on the business.
