The organisers of one of Lancashire’s leading business awards has explained the process which will happen when it closes for applications on April 6.
Babs Murphy, chief executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce which runs the Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, said entries had been flowing in for this year’s awards.
She said: “We always advise applicants to give themselves plenty of time to get the best application in as the BIBAs is a hugely competitive awards.
“Once we reach the deadline on April 6, all applications will be eligibility checked to ensure they meet our entry criteria and then bench-marked to decide which go forward to our first round of judging.
“Then the applicants will go through two rounds of judging before we select the winners which will collect the famous trophies in September.”
The first round of judging will see applicants have a face-to-face interview with judges which get underway from May 14.
The finalists will be announced on June 5 and then a second round of judging which sees panels go ‘on tour’ to visit businesses vying for awards from June 18.
