It’s that time of year again when the call goes out all over Lancashire for Business leaders and entrepreneurs to put forward nominations for the ultimate accolade of Lancastrian of the Year, for the BIBAs 2012. 

Lancastrian of the Year, awarded for Life Time Achievement, will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated recognised leadership and who has made exemplary contributions to the Business community in Lancashire. 

Previous winners who have entered into this exclusive BIBA Hall of Fame include:  Dennis Mendoros, (Euravia) Edwin Booth, (Booths)   Tim  Webber (Barnfield Construction) & and current title holder, Phillip McIvor (Farmhouse Biscuits).

All nominations received will be considered by the Judging Panel made up of previous Lancastrians’ of the Year. This is one category which is excluded from self nomination. 

So if you know a business person who is an outstanding individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision, one who has worked tirelessly on behalf of the business community in Lancashire – then we need to hear from you.  Please submit their details via the Lancastrian Button on the BIBAs website. 

There are 16 awards being presented this year and taking part in Lancashire’s biggest business competition is an excellent opportunity for organisations in to make some noise about their outstanding achievements and measure their performance against industry peers. So for those who have still to submit their entries, hopefully, this will come as a timely reminder that the 30th March deadline is fast approaching.

Apply now…Any company within Lancashire whether public or private, can enter the BIBAs – regardless of size or industry.  Described by many as the Jewel in Lancashire’s Crown, the BIBAs attracts entries from a wide variety of successful organisations;  from FTSE 250’s through to thriving entrepreneurial businesses.
