The entertainment for one of the biggest nights in the Lancashire business community has been booked, organisers have confirmed.
The Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, hosts its prize-giving ceremony at the iconic Blackpool Tower on Friday, September 16.
Babs Murphy, chief executive of the awards’ organisers, the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, said the calibre of the entertainment would be as high as ever.
She said: “The BIBAs is renowned throughout Lancashire for being a great night out as well as an opportunity to give a spotlight to our brightest and best businesses.
“We have already booked our entertainment for our 2016 ceremony, even though it is several months away, which tells you the quality we have secured.”
In 2015, a sell-out crowd was treated to a spectacular performance by The Overtones which followed A-List acts in previous years including opera star Russell Watson, X-Factor winner Matt Cardle and pop star Peter Andre.
Last week, the winners of last year’s competition took part in a growth workshop hosted by Lancaster University Management School enterprise expert, Dr Ricardo Zozimo.
The session offered attendees practical advice on how to boost the strategic direction of their businesses, boost self-confidence among leaders and share experiences with fellow business leaders.
It was part of the BIBAs Academy, a package of workshops and masterclasses run by LUMS, which all the winners of the awards have joined.
Places also remain available on this year’s BIBAs Boot Camp at the Chamber’s Fylde Coast office on Friday, March 4 (10am start).
The awards have teamed up with experts from Lancaster University Management School to offer a workshop which will see judges give applicants practical tips on how to impress judges in both applications and at the interview sessions which follow.
It will also offer advice on how to maximise involvement in the awards whether you are shortlisted, a finalist or a winner.
