The BIBAs are back

One of Lancashire’s leading business awards has opened for applications to celebrate the heroes in companies across the county.

The Be Inspired Business Awards, The BIBAs, has opened for applications to 18 categories from businesses of any sector or any size in Lancashire.

Due to the restrictions in place around COVID-19, all interviews will be conducted teleconferencing to ensure the safety of applicants and judges.

Babs Murphy, Chief Executive of the awards’ organisers, the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, said the categories would offer firms the opportunities to show how they have innovated their way through the pandemic.

She said: “The BIBAs has always been about recognising the best in Lancashire business, and this year will be no exception.

“We know the past 12 months have meant our businesses have had to pour their enthusiasm and innovation in to keeping their businesses going and their people safe.

“It is this work which we will be focusing on for our awards and I would urge the amazing people behind companies across our county to come forward with their stories of the past 12 months.”

The categories opening for entries today include a new Most Resilient Business of the Year to recognise those who have overcome the adversity of the pandemic.

Other categories include Scale Up Business of the Year, Global Business of the Year, Employer of the Year and Manufacturer of the Year.
