BIBAs 2010With Lancashire’s premier business awards, The BIBAs 2010, just over two weeks away, The North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to celebrate the achievements of local companies in the magnificent surroundings of the Pleasure Beach Blackpool. Babs Murphy, Chief Executive of the event organiser, North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce said “From the inspired to the inspiring – the successful to the most promising and the creators of wealth to the creative minds – this years programme will recognise the highest standards in business excellence that we have in Lancashire today. Hailed as the ‘one they all want to win’, the 2010 continues to grow and has attracted an exceptional level of entries from some of Lancashire’s top performing companies - over 900 applications were submitted, 19 sponsors have pledged their support, 16 BIBAs are up for grabs and over 900 guests will attend on the night. In addition, a number of MP’s and dignitaries will be attending to celebrate the very best of Lancashire businesses as the sixteen winners are announced. The awards were launched to find the areas top business gurus, companies, employers and entrepreneurs, supported by a prestigious range of sponsors and partners, including Lancashire Economic Partnership and the North West Development Agency . Babs Murphy added, “The Chamber is proud to play its role in supporting, nurturing and encouraging excellence in the business sector, through this Awards program. The BIBAs are all about recognising excellence and achievement in companies operating in Lancashire”. The North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce was founded over 80 years ago for the purpose of watching over and protecting local trade interests. Today its’ 1600 members range from the largest companies to the smallest professional operation and benefit from the Chamber’s range of business support services. The BIBAs 2010 takes place at The Globe Theatre, Pleasure Beach Blackpool on Friday 12th March. Demand for tickets has been exceptionally high this year and, as a result, the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce has now opened a waiting list for those still hoping to attend.
