LANCASTRIAN OF THE YEARYear on year a record number of entries have signified the BIBA's as "the one they want to win" with winners becoming proud recipients of a handcrafted limited trophy specially designed by world famous sculpture – Charles Hadcock. The BIBAs 2010 are supported by a star line up of sponsors. The extent of this support has helped the BIBA’s to be the most recognisable and important endorsements of corporate and individual achievement in Lancashire. Babs Murphy, Chief Executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce said “Winning a BIBA shows that your business really has made it to the top and with just fifteen exclusive BIBA’s up for grabs this year, the race is on to be amongst the winners and become the proud recipient of a handcrafted limited edition BIBA trophy”. Whilst the 87 finalists have been announced, The BIBA for Lancastrian of the Year has been a closely guarded secret. This award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated recognised leadership in the field of Business and who has made exemplary contributions to advance the goals and principals of the Business community in Lancashire. Sponsors of this award is the Lancashire Economic Partnership (LEP) which was formed to promote economic growth and prosperity throughout Lancashire. Dennis Taylor, Chief Executive of the LEP said “Lancastrian of the Year has already attracted intense interest and much speculation but I’m afraid nothing will be revealed until the ceremony - but I can guarantee that Lancastrian of the Year will be worthy of this high profile accolade”. 17/02/2010 |
