TICKETS NOW ON SALE………

With the closing date for applications only one day away, tickets to the region’s  biggest business awards programme go on sale today. The BIBAs 2010 are open to a whole host of businesses of different sizes from across the county.

With a total of fourteen  varied categoriesl to enter, these awards offer an opportunity for many businesses to showcase their achievements and benchmark their own success.

Babs Murphy, Chief Executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, organisers of the BIBAs said “Some of our  most successful companies have a BIBA  to their name and we believe there are plenty more businesses out there which are ready to join this prestigious list.

Taking part in the BIBAs is an excellent opportunity for organisations in to make some noise about their outstanding achievements and measure their performance against industry peers. So for those who have still to submit their entries, hopefully, this will come as a timely warning that the 23rd December  deadline is fast approaching.

Dennis Taylor, Chief Executive of the Lancashire Economic Partnership, Principal sponsors of the BIBA’s 2010 said “With so much talk of recession in the media, it’s not surprising that employers are feeling relatively downbeat, compared to the last two years. It is, however, very encouraging to see that entrepreneurs are aware of new markets for their businesses and a significant number are actively seeking those opportunities during the downturn.”

The public relations opportunities that surface for finalists and winners are enormous. Our sponsors have in the past worked with BIBA winners and finalists  to maximise their PR coverage.

Other benefits include : awareness amongst hundreds of other contending organisations; the connection with the standards of this vigorous and valued competition; and recognition of effort. Some of our previous winners and finalists  entrants have gone on to use the logo on letterheads and took full advantage of their relationships with local media and achieved some lasting partnering arrangements”.

Short-listed companies will receive coverage in the Lancashire Evening Post in the run-up to and after the event.

All finalists will be acknowledged and honoured in a glittering awards ceremony, at the Globe Theatre, Blackpool Pleasure Beach on 12th March 2010 when the winners will  be announced. Apply for tickets at www.thebibas.co.uk
