The BIBA’s are now viewed as the leading honours for businesses and invites all budding entrepreneurs to apply for the ultimate business accolade.

The BIBA’s are designed to recognise the very best of business that achieve fundamental success such as growing turnover, profits and job creation. These awards are also aimed at rewarding inventive and strategic excellence as well as market place impact and measurable business initiatives.

Babs Murphy, Chief Executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce reported the awards have already attracted intense interest within the business community, with entries flooding in. ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR is aimed to identify an individual from the local business community who has used great acumen to succeed and grow.  A person with real drive and ambition who’s made an impact on the local community is what we’re looking for and there are plenty out there.  Candidates should have a minimum of five years growth, survival, or success history and are urged to apply online now.

Judges will be looking for an individual who had demonstrated business success with creativity, flair and real determination.  In particular judges will be looking for:

• Overcoming key business challenges
• Innovation
• Ambition
