This award recognizes a company that has demonstrated outstanding business achievement within the tourism sector. The recipient will have demonstrated innovation, commitment and leadership resulting in the success of a tourism enterprise in Lancashire. To qualify for this award, you must fall into one of these business categories: dining, travel, accommodations, winery and/or tourist attraction or service. Judges will be looking for: - Business Achievement & Success within the Tourism Sector

Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board (LBTB) was set up in April 2004 and is a company under the control of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Blackpool Borough Council and Lancashire County Council.
The tourist board is led by a Chief Executive supported by a team of staff whose work is overseen by a board of directors including a Chair and two Vice Chairs.
It supports tourism businesses in the Lancashire and Blackpool sub-region by representing their interests regionally and nationally, by co-ordinating marketing activity, managing and developing the tourism product and working in partnership with industry. Activities in commercial membership, business development, 'Welcome to Excellence' training, visitor services and marketing are all designed to improve quality and achieve common goals.
Our key strategies focus on the development and management of the visitor economy to achieve this vision. They uphold, reinforce and add value to the Regional Economic Strategy (RES), the Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) and the Regional Tourism Strategy (RTS) for the Northwest.
