2011 Winners
Hundreds of Lancashire’s brightest business stars gathered together for the 2011 BIBAs Award Ceremony which took place on the 10th June at Blackpool’s world-famous Tower ballroom.
Hailed as ‘the one they all want to win’, the BIBAs is the most succesful event of its kind in Lancashire and 2011, attracted an exceptional 1079 entries (including 87 finalists) from some of Lancashire’s top performing companies.
Chief Executive of North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, Babs Murphy, in her address to the audience, before presenting the life time achievement award said:
“We know it’s been an extremely difficult time for many businesses – we understand the battles you have to fight – we realise the harsh trading conditions you’ve had to endure – so to reach this stage in THIS competition is a significant achievement of which you should be enormously proud – as we are of you.
Babs Murphy added:
“All the finalists represented on the night should also be praised because they are shining examples of what can be achieved, particularly in these difficult and challenging times, by people with a real aspiration to improve their business and significantly contribute to the local economy.
“The calibre of entries this year was exceptionally high and everyone who entered deserves admiration. Participating businesses gained real benefits and opportunities to promote their achievements at the highest level.
“The BIBA’s are all about recognising excellence and achievement in companies operating in Lancashire and the Chamber is proud to play its role in supporting, nurturing and encouraging business excellence in the business sector through this Awards programme.
“Lancashire’s success and prosperity is dependent on the strength and vibrancy of its business community.
